6. Execute your plan
The project blocks serve as your plan for
the day and the week. When it is time to work on a
project block, you simply go to the prioritized task
list for the project (if you right click on a project
block in the weekly schedule you will see an option to
view the tasks) and start working your tasks. As you
complete each task, you can record the amount of time
you spent on it and move on to the next one.
You just keep doing this throughout the day. If you
don’t finish a task, it is still there in your task list
ready to start again the next time you want to work on
that project. You can add a "next action" reminder task
as a child so you can easily remember where you left
off.
If you have some free time that you haven’t scheduled,
you can simply look through your project list and pick
something to work on or use the powerful task chooser to
help you select a good task to work on across all your
projects.

The task chooser displays a sorted and
filtered list of best tasks ranked using configurable
criteria like priority, deadline, focus, and date
values.
If you use Microsoft Outlook®
(XP/2003), you can track action-oriented emails as
projects/tasks in your schedule. Here's how it works.
During
the first Outlook synchronization, Achieve
Planner adds a couple of folders under your Inbox: Todo,
Postponed, and WaitingFor. When you receive an email
message you want to track, simply move it to one of
these folders.
During the next Outlook
synchronization, Achieve Planner will create a project
for each new email in these folders and set its status
accordingly. The project will remain linked to the email
message so you can easily view it even if you move it
out of the Todo folder.
NOTE: In order to import emails
from Outlook, you must set the Outlook settings to
Import Email AND select the folders from which you want
to import (Import Todo, Import Postponed, Import
WaitingFor)
Achieve Planner can also synchronize
your Outlook appointments and contacts, and import any
Outlook tasks you may have.
While tasks are not automatically
synchronized (since Outlook doesn't support hierarchical
outlines), you can easily export individual tasks or
projects back to Outlook.
8. Result Areas
A
result area represents a major life dimension or
role. If you like, you can use them to keep track of
mission and vision statements for each part of your
life.
You can also use them to keep track of
your values and guiding principles, and to perform a
Strengths- Weaknesses-Opportunities-Threats (SWOT)
analysis.
Each project can be assigned to a
result area.
